1. I am writing to formally request to remain in the AFROTC program despite my current credit hour total of 11, which falls short of the 12-hour minimum requirement. This situation is the result of unforeseen circumstances and was not intentional. There was a miscommunication between me and the financial aid office, as I initially believed the term class would be covered by them. Upon learning it was not, I was forced to drop the class because I am unable to afford it at this time. I take full responsibility for this and am committed to ensuring it will never happen again.
2. Since my first day in the AFROTC program, I have dedicated myself to improving both personally and professionally. I have consistently worked hard and strived to contribute to the detachment. This setback does not define my commitment to the program. Rather, it has taught me the importance of attention to detail and proactive planning.
3. Moving forward, I am fully committed to taking the necessary steps to maintain growth and comply with all program requirements. I will use this experience as a foundation to grow, not only as a cadet but also as a future officer in the United States Air Force. I am determined to work harder, support my fellow cadets, and contribute meaningfully to the detachment's success.
4. My ultimate goal is to push through challenges and finish the AFROTC program with the opportunity to attend field training and continue my journey toward commissioning. I ask for the chance to prove my commitment and dedication to this program.
5. Thank you for considering my request. I am eager to continue my journey in AFROTC and demonstrate the lessons I have learned through this experience.
