Master Sergeant Robert N. Bullock distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Section Chief, Plans and Programs, 386th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, 386th Expeditionary Mission Support Group, 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. During this period, Sergeant Bullock led a 15 member team in the fulfillment of 286 communications requirements valued at 743,000 dollars and the execution of 41 command and control projects worth over 11 million dollars. His tireless efforts transformed the communications networks at Ali AL Salem and Al Mubarak Air Bases by tripling data speeds and expanding the communication infrastructure to all areas on those bases. This directly contributed to the movement of 116,000 warfighters and 65,000 tons of cargo in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and enhanced the Wings capability for contingency surge operations. Additionally, Sergeant Bullock led the completion of an Air Force Central Command directed project to install 13,000 feet of enduring ductwork that eliminated emergency phone degradations and added connectivity for 3,000 transient personnel. Furthermore, he directed a project to rapidly bed down 60 Army personnel and eight Apache helicopters in support of Kuwaiti-coalition training operations and critical air defense measures. Finally, Sergeant Bullock assimilated a Marine Air Control Squadron Theater Missile Defense Radar feed into the theater Air Operations Center, providing the common operational picture to Wing leadership and enabling the Combined Forces Air Component Commander's top priority, Joint Air Defense of the Arabian Gulf. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Bullock reflect credit upon himself, the 386th Expeditionary Communications Squadron and the United States Air Force.
