Finally, Sergeant Boyd single-handedly directed the first ever hard landing inspection and rebuild of a crashed Predator aircraft, returning an Air Force Central Command asset to fully mission capable status in only 18 days, saving the Air Force $4.2 million in replacement costs. During this period, Sergeant McCormick's professional skill and superior leadership were key in securing the Command's largest reconnaissance aircraft fleet. He led training efforts while preparing for the Nuclear Surety Inspection and retooled job knowledge guides to reflect the current Security Fores Mission, ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of the force. Additionally, he overhauled the unit's Standardization Evaluation process, resulting in the squadron pass rate increasing by over fifty percent. Furthermore, he coordinated two training events for over 20 Airmen which increased awareness of deceptive tactics, state, and local terrorism. Throughout this assignment, Sergeant McCormick's direct efforts greatly enhanced the capability of individual security forces personnel and the squadron's ability to provide first rate support to Team Offutt. Master Sergeant Daniel A. Schlueter distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Flight Chief, Golf Sector, 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, 506th Air Expeditionary Group, 332d Air Expeditionary Wing, Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq. During this period and in direct support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Sergeant Schlueter directed the inspection of visitors' credentials, verification of entry propriety, vehicle and pedestrian traffic control, and patrols of the installation boundaries, which were critical to the defense of a 14 kilometer base perimeter and protection of over sixty five hundred personnel. In addition, he coordinated responses to more than 13 indirect fire attacks and ensured rapid responses for UXO identification and removal by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team. Further, Sergeant Schlueter arranged the flawless security for the release of over one hundred and forty prisoners and ensured the safety of over twenty munitions transfers. Finally, he led a sector self help project, returning a fire damaged facility to mission ready status, saving the Air Force several thousand dollars in repairs. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant McCormick reflect great credit upon himself, the 506th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron and the United States Air Force.
