Airman Dorm Leader

Technical Sergeant Justin P. Reinwand distinguished himself by meritorious service as Airman Dorm Leader assigned to 633d Civil Engineer Squadron, 633d Air Base Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. During this period, Sergeant Reinwand led four Airmen Dormitory Leaders in providing sound advice on the quality-of-life issues affecting Airmen across five wings, 40 units, and Headquarters, Air Combat Command. Additionally, his leadership was essential in the processing of 451 Technical Training Graduate diverts, 78 percent annual average, in under two months. His efforts led to increasing Unaccompanied Housing space 14 percent in support of Air Force bed down plans. Furthermore, he led a 28-member team in the evacuation of the dormitories during a hurricane, placing 1500 sandbags in under 6 hours. His leadership led to 780 Airmen, $2.5 million in furnishing, and eight buildings valued at $102 million being secured and saved from disaster. Moreover, Sergeant Reinwand built the Wing's first ever dormitory mobile application, enhancing communication and identifying latent facility issues and contributing to winning Group Innovator of the Quarter. Finally, his dedication to his team's success led to a Team Excellence of the Quarter, Air Combat Command's 2019 Best Civil Engineer Squadron of the Year, 2018 Air Force Housing Excellence award, and Air Force's 2019 Asset Management Team of the Year. Airman Dorm Leader

Staff Sergeant Ray E. Pabon distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Airman Dorm Leader, 6th Civil Engineer Squadron, 6th Air Refueling Wing, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. During this period, Sergeant Pabon oversaw a $32 million dollar dormitory campus. As the primary Dorm leader, he was crucial to the submission and follow-up of over 450 work orders. Additionally, as the sole Government Purchase Card holder for the dormitories, he budgeted $120,000 to Unaccompanied Housing upgrades and neccessities. Moreover, he led the Bay Orderly program for 430 Airmen, ensuring quality of life and Air Force standards were maintained for dormitory residents. Further, Sergeant Pabon was critical in the 2019 Unaccompanied Housing Brochure rewrite, as well as the MacDill Air Force Base Instruction conveying Commanders' expectations of the 6th Air Refueling Wing and its mission partners. Finally, Sergeant Pabon deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, leading a 50 member team to move 105 tons of cargo 9,000 miles, enabling the destruction of three Syrian weapons facilities. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Pabon reflect credit upon himself, the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron and the United States Air Force.
