Senior Airman Ronald Weasley distinguished himself by meritorious service while serving as Finance Operations Technician, 65th Comptroller Squadron, 65th Air Base Group, Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. During this period, Airman Weasley showcased his leadership skills by stepping up as lead customer service representative and reviewing 47 deployment vouchers and 133 customer service claims. His actions were instrumental in the accounting of more than two hundred thousand dollars in the Defense Travel System and the distribution of over four hundred thousand dollars in on-time payments to Airmen base wide. Additionally, Airman Weasley developed an automated process for travel voucher payouts, decreasing processing time by fifty percent and improving efficiency and accuracy. Further, he facilitated professional development in his workcenter by providing Defense Finance Accounting Service training for nine Airmen and budgeting and finance training for 11 Airmen, improving financial literacy and aptitude across the unit and securing the unit's Air and Space Force Outstanding Unit Award. Technical Sergeant Samuel R Bornemann distinguished himself in the performance of outstanding service to the United States as Noncommissioned Officer in charge of the Defense Travel System and Resource Management, 4th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron, Space Delta 3, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. During this period, Sergeant Bornemann allocated over five million dollars for squadron travel, deployments, supplies, vehicle leases, fuel, and training in support of multiple contingences around the world. Additionally, he single-handedly oversaw the squadron's 1.9 million dollar yearly budget to purchase mission critical equipment, parts, supplies, and appliances, enabling 4th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron to support four Area of Responsibility combatant commanders with mission ready assets. Moreover, Sergeant Bornemann procured 1.7 million dollars for Cyber equipment and infrastructure allowing 4th Electromagnetic Warfare Squadron to keep up with work demands required by the standing up of United States Space Force. Finally, he trained six new resource advisors which played a vital role in building the Delta's first United States Space Force twenty three million dollar budget and was key to the squadron winning the McClelland award at the major command level.
